Why buy a new CCTV system if the old one can be repaired?
First and foremost, the PRICE. Repairing a recorder can cost between £55 to £115 depending on the fault. Buying a new one will cost considerably more, well beyond £175. The more channels, the more resolution, the higher time frames, the upper the cost, you can easily find yourself spending over £350 for domestic DVRs and NVRs, and around £500+ for commercial recorders.
Second, you can keep your old, well-known unit. The Main Menu, the application will be exactly same what you already used of. No need for spending hours to understand a new device.
